Check When the Engine Cannot Start
Check whether there is fuel in the fuel tank (for 650/950 engines, add lubricating oil according to the oil mixture ratio specified in the manual).
Check whether the fuel pipe is cracked, blocked, or leaking.
Check whether a sufficient amount of the specified type of lubricating oil has been added to the crankcase of four-stroke general-purpose gasoline engines (as some general-purpose engines are equipped with a low-oil protection device).
Check whether the fuel switch is turned on.
Check whether the shutdown switch is turned on.
Check whether the choke is closed when starting (with the choke closed, generally pull the starter handle only 4–7 times; if the engine still cannot start, remove the spark plug and check whether it is wet with fuel, pull the starter handle several times to expel excess fuel gas from the cylinder through the spark plug hole, tighten the spark plug, and restart).
Check whether the spark plug sparks (insert the removed spark plug into the spark plug cap, rest the spark plug's outer hex against the engine, pull the starter handle, and check the sparking between the spark plug electrodes. At this time, ensure there is no fuel on the engine, otherwise it may catch fire easily).
