Check When the Water Pump Fails to Pump Water

1. Check whether a soft suction hose is used and whether the suction hose is collapsed. Replace with a rigid suction hose if necessary.

2. Check whether the suction hose is cracked or blocked, and whether the inlet filter screen is clogged with debris.

3. Check whether the pump has been filled with clean water before starting the engine.

4. Check whether the pump impeller is tangled with debris.

5. Check whether the joint between the suction hose and the pump inlet connection is completely sealed; if necessary, apply a thin soap or mud paste over the joint to seal it.

6. Check whether the valve disc at the pump inlet is damaged or poorly sealed.
